Meta Moto partnered to lead the digital strategy for Cross River Rail’s Project DNA, establishing a federated CDE for Queensland’s largest infrastructure programme. Our work integrated BIM, GIS, photogrammetry, LIDAR, and real-time TBM telemetry into a digital twin environment, enabling precise tunnelling, trial of ETCS, and the State’s 3D Cadastre, as well as immersive stakeholder simulations and assurance-aligned asset delivery across all project phases.

Urban rail tunnelling beneath Brisbane’s CBD involved significant geotechnical and stakeholder challenges. Precise clash detection, heritage avoidance, and multimodal design integration required sub-10mm digital accuracy. Without federated data and immersive modelling, gaining regulatory approvals, synchronising construction, and delivering a reliable as-built handover model would have been extremely risky and fragmented.

Meta Moto delivered a spatially anchored CDE integrating BIM, point clouds, geospatial overlays, and telemetry data. We enabled the automated generation of Unreal Engine-based virtual simulations for over 40 stakeholders and real-time TBM model alignment. Our governance model enforced EIR compliance, role-based access, and automated versioning, ensuring certifiable traceability, design integrity, and digital asset delivery ready for lifecycle management.
